Introduction

Since September 2024, I have been a student in the ELTE Doctoral School of Mathematics under the supervision of Professor András Némethi, and since February 2025, I have been working as a research assistant at the Rényi Institute. Initially, I worked on Poincaré sequences defined on graphs, the basic ideas of which originated in algebraic geometry. This led me to delve deeper into the study of algebraic geometry, specifically singularity theory. My research interests include algebraic curves, normal surface singularities, and lattice point cohomology.
