The Department of Methodology of the Rényi Institute will launch a mathematics teaching program from October. The goal of the program is for researchers to introduce teachers to discovery teaching methods and work together to ensure that mathematics teachers apply them during education. Therefore, they are looking for applications from teachers who will receive interactive tasks and lesson plan suggestions on a weekly basis during the 4 months of the pilot program. The researchers working on the methodology would like the teachers participating in the program to share their experiences with them and to be able to jointly develop the curriculum based on their feedback. In case of successful cooperation, this program may continue.
Applications are primarily expected from those who teach in the 7th grade and will have the opportunity to deal with the topic indicated in the program between the autumn and winter break. The tasks and lesson plans prepared may be useful in the 8th and 9th grades as well.
