András Sándor: Almost smoothing non-isolated surface singularities and a nice C^*-action

I am going to talk about a class of non-normalized cyclic quotient surface singularities and their C^*-equivariant deformation. These will almost smooth the singularities, giving us natural Seifert fibrations and interesting contact structures on the boundary. This is the more topological continuation of Hendrik Süss's talk in March.
