For those of our researchers who do not have grant funding to cover conference attendance or to finance a visiting researcher’s (short-term, 1–2 week) stay, the Institute provides an internal funding opportunity.

The procedure is as follows: applications can be submitted on a rolling basis; at the end of each quarter (in practice, during the first week of April, July, October, and January) a small committee reviews the applications and decides how many requests can be supported within the available budget.

Applications can be submitted (after login with institute account details) by filling out the form that opens when you click on the links below:

  • Internal application for conference attendance (BPK)
Required information: applicant's name, title, date, and location of the conference to be attended, a cost estimate, and a brief (really brief!) explanation.

  • Internal application for hosting guests (BPV)
Required information: for short visits (one to two weeks maximum) by visiting researchers, please provide the visitor's name, affiliation, cost estimate, planned visit dates, and a description of the joint research topic in one (maximum two) sentences.
