The talk is focused on a special case of the higher-order Stokes phenomenon: the double Stokes phenomenon with equal singulants.
I will begin by introducing the basic concepts: classical Stokes phenomenon, Stokes' interpretation, Dingle's final main rule, and the Berry transition. 
This will be followed by the study of the exponentially small terms in the asymptotic expansions of the gamma function and its reciprocal. 
These two expansions provide examples for the aforementioned case of the higher-order Stokes phenomenon. 
The goal is to understand the asymptotic emergence of the exponentially small terms. The talk will conclude with some open problems.
