Genericity and prevalence

We discuss two concepts of typical properties in Banach spaces: genericity in the Baire category sense and prevalence, which is a measure-theoretic condition for a property to hold `almost everywhere' on spaces where exists no Haar-measure. We compare these notions via some known results and easy proofs. Finally, we consider the recent results of typical properties of continuous maps in the light of both concepts.
