J. Szabados (Renyi Inst.): Generalization of the classical Kantorovich
operator

Abstract: An operator of Kantorovich-type is introduced for the weighted
$L^p$ approximation with Jacobi weights, dropping the restrictions on the
weight parameters appearing in case of the classical Kantorovich operator.
Direct and converse theorems and a Voronovskaya-type relation are proved.
